To all Veterans, Active duty military and Government officials, We are Healing Hearts in Hope Veteran’s Retreat Center located in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, at the base of Mt. Pilchuck. We are a nonprofit organization supporting the Veterans of this great country. We offer a place for Veterans and their families to “Get away from it all”. We offer a place to camp, hike, fish and picnic. We offer overnight camping and day use as well. This is a peaceful place in the beautiful rain forest to enjoy nature the way it is meant to be. You are invited to attend any, or all, of our annual functions. We have these potluck picnics every year to celebrate our Veterans and active duty military and to introduce Healing Hearts in Hope Veteran’s Retreat Center to you.
Healing Hearts in Hope Veterans Retreat Center
is now open for the 2022 season.
Camping, fishing, picnicking and hiking.
Come and enjoy nature as it was meant to be.
Fall Event: Veterans Appreciation Potluck Picnic, August 13 1:00pm to 4:00pm
We are open for all Veterans and active duty military personnel for
camping, hiking, picnics, family gatherings and group events,
May though September every year.
Come and enjoy your event, our event or both. All of the above is the best answer :-)
These functions are potluck so bring your favorite main dish or dessert to share. You should also bring something to drink as we have no idea how many water bottles to keep on hand. This is an alcohol and drug free zone, so please do not bring either one! We have a carry-in, carry-out policy as we do not have garbage service. Please help us keep the Center clean. Wear comfortable footwear for some low-level hiking to experience the Center and it’s surrounding areas. There will be a portable toilet on site and hand sanitizer for your convenience. We have a talking circle with log benches and 12 picnic tables. Some people like to bring their own folding chairs as well. Feel free to do so.
We will start the festivities with our Pledge of Allegiance to our Flag, a prayer and a moment of silence for our POWs. Everyone who has attended in the past has left with new friends, a smile and a new respect for nature
